Who is Regan Gascoigne’s Dancing on Ice skating partner, Karina Manta, and what we know about her career
After the debut of the last series in January this year, we are looking at the near end of Dancing on Ice 2022, with the last show of the fourteenth series scheduled for March 27.
The competitive skating show final was due to take place on Sunday March 20, but was moved due to live FA Cup football taking place last week, giving all the couples involved another week to prepare in hoping to impress the judges and the audience.
As the competition draws to a close, many fans have sought to learn more about the entrants. One of the couples that has caught the interest of fans this year is professional dancer Regan Gascoigne and figure skater Karina Manta.

They are among three couples vying for the final, alongside Kimberly Wyatt and Matt Hanretty, and Brendan Cole and Vanessa Bauer.
Who is Regan Gascoigne’s Dancing on Ice skating partner Karina Manta?
Ana Karina Manta was born in the United States, in Olympia, the capital of Washington State. However, she was raised in Chandler, Arizona (southwest of Pheonix). Her website biography states that “Although she grew up in the desert, she fell in love with figure skating and spent several years competing as a member of Team USA.”
She’s been paired with fellow skater Joe Johnson since 2013 and (according to The Sun) the pair have competed at Skate America, the USA International Classic, US Nationals and Midwest Sectionals.
Since retiring from professional figure skating, she has continued to appear on the ice, on shows like Cirque du Soleil and on TV on Dancing on Ice. She holds a degree in English from the University of Colorado and works as a professional writer, having written articles for The New York Times.
In 2018, she came out as bisexual and went on to write a book called “On Top of Glass: My Stories as a Queer Girl in Figure Skating”.
