Pilot project – A refrigerated outdoor skating rink starting in October to extend the season of winter activities
The City of Pointe-Claire announces that a refrigerated skating rink will be set up on the land at the corner of Du Bord-du-lac – Lakeshore Road and Cartier Avenue in order to extend the season of winter activities for users.
This new ice oval will allow users to enjoy the joys of winter from the end of October to the end of March in the Village of Pointe-Claire. This durable facility will reduce the need for water to keep ice surfaces in good condition during the winter months.
A second refrigerated ice rink is also planned at Valois Park. Due to certain preliminary work necessary to make the connections necessary for its operation, the timetable for its completion is to be confirmed.
The new refrigerated rink is added to the hockey rinks, public rinks and ice ovals of Alexandre-Bourgeau, Arthur-Séguin, Cedar Park Heights, Clearpoint, Du Voyageur, Hermitage, Ovide, Northview, Seigniory and Valois parks for the winter season 2021-2022.
