LA Kings and ASEC team up to operate ice skating facility at Rolling Hills Estates – CBS Los Angeles
ROLLING HILLS AREAS (CBSLA) – The Los Angeles Kings and American Sports Entertainment Company have teamed up to reopen the Promenade on the Peninsula rink at Rolling Hills Estates.
The Kings and ASEC have announced that it will be rebranded as LA Kings Ice at Promenade on the Peninsula after the renovation and is slated to open on September 7.

The rink closed last year on September 16 due to the COVID-19 shutdown. The indoor ice rink, opened by the mall in 1981, served as an iconic venue for figure skating and hockey for 40 years.

“For nearly 40 years this facility has been a cornerstone of the community and we are thrilled to be working with our partners to re-engage families here and get back on the ice,” said ASEC President Brad Berman. “We believe LA Kings Ice at Promenade on the Peninsula will be a long-term, sustainable center of ice and entertainment.”
After signing a lease on August 1, 2021, ASEC and the Kings immediately began improving LA Kings Ice. The upgrades of the technological system and the internal and external branding were at the center of our concerns.

Monday’s announcement was the latest in a series of Kings / ASEC joint ventures in the management of Southern California ice sports.
