Figure skaters shine in recent competitions

Skaters from the Leduc Figure Skating Club recently participated in a few regional competitions. The club had 13 skaters who made the short jaunt to Camrose to compete in the open regional competition, with Mindi Chadwick winning a gold medal. Two other skaters went to Stettler for the Future Stars FunSKATE.

The club wraps up its season by preparing for its Awesome 80’s Carnival show on the LRC’s Aspen ice surface on March 5 at 1:30 p.m. Skaters ages 3-46 will skate to songs from the 80s.

“We’re thrilled to put on an event for viewers to enjoy and experience some radical 80s nostalgia,” said head coach Heidi Isherwood.
