Speaking ahead of the launch, Bill Cremin, CEO of Cool Running Events, said: “The blockages have been a challenge for all of us.

“Last year was the first time since 2007 that the company had no Christmas events. We are delighted to be back and look forward to welcoming the skateboarders again!

“We pride ourselves on providing the best ice skating experience and since our opening in Blanchardstown in 2014 the response has been fantastic.

“With the largest ice rink in Dublin, it allows our seasoned skaters and beginners to enjoy this wonderful experience in the safest and most enjoyable environment.

“Whether you’re five or eighty, ice skating really gets everyone in the party spirit. We have a great location right next to Blanchardstown
with ample parking and easy access.

“We have a brilliant team working with us again, many who come back year after year, which makes it really special.”

Ice Skating Blanchardstown will open seven days a week starting November 19 and run five sessions a day Monday through Friday and ten sessions a day Saturday and Sunday and during the Christmas holidays. Early Bird tickets at € 10 (plus € 2 booking fee) are now available at www.iceskating.ie.
