2008 World Championships - Results (Men SP)

The men have finished their short programs, and the free dances are going on as I type. Those results I’ll post when it’s finished. As for now, the current placements for the men after the short program:

Men - SP
1. Jeffrey BUTTLE CAN 82.10 1
2. Johnny WEIR USA 80.79 2
3. Daisuke TAKAHASHI JPN 80.40 3
4. Tomas VERNER CZE 79.87 4
5. Stephane LAMBIEL SUI 79.12 5

Complete result listings are here.

Ice Dance - FINAL
1. Isabelle DELOBEL / Olivier SCHOENFELDER FRA 212.94 1 1 2
2. Tessa VIRTUE / Scott MOIR CAN 208.80 2 3 1
3. Jana KHOKHLOVA / Sergei NOVITSKI RUS 203.26 3 2 5
4. Tanith BELBIN / Benjamin AGOSTO USA 203.00 5 4 3
5. Federica FAIELLA / Massimo SCALI ITA 201.91 4 5 4

I was able to watch some of the men’s short programs on CBC, which was cool. I don’t remember the last time I saw figure skating on TV (we don’t have cable). I was hoping they would show the ice dancing since the station kept hinting about it, but right after the men it switched to another program. An amazing placement for Tessa & Scott!
